—Assistant Interior Designer—
We are seeking an assistant Interior Designer for immediate hire. This job focuses on high-end residential, custom Interiors with occasional commercial interiors. Applicants must have excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task, as well as strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment. Job requirements:
Provide Project Admin Support to Lead Designer
Source finishes and materials, pull furniture, art, & accessory selections
Obtain quotes for orders; review for proper lead time, pricing delivery and freight costs; follow-up on information pertinent to specifications and orders.
Specifying window treatment details for estimates, etc.
Responsible for assisting with all day-to-day project management aspects as required to keep things on track
Processes purchase orders
Get approvals on CFAs, finish samples and merchandise and follow up with outstanding order issues.
Coordinate with vendors, clients, architects and consultants
Prepares proposals and proposal packages including written descriptions of items
Inspecting items at the warehouse
Produces Schedule of Materials
Assist in preparing client presentations
Assist in Library Organization
Assist in production of Drawings: furniture plans, elevations, custom furniture, electrical
Assist & oversee Installs: moving art, accessories, & furniture.
Expect to lift approx. 30lbs
Climb ladders when necessary
Sit in on Conference Calls
Attend site visits as necessary, that may require designer to walk properties that are under construction
Domestic Travel is required
Qualifications:
Construction Documentation and Specifications Experience
Works Well with others in a Teamwork Environment
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
2-5 years of experience in Interior Design
Technical proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, Microsoft Office & Adobe Suite
Strong written and verbal skills
Strong Time Management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Expectation of self-management throughout daily tasks and continue to improve skill set.
Strong organization, planning & prioritization skills
